ALMOR’s major alloy fabrication sectors are heat treatment, flare gas burners for the petro chemical industry and other process sectors where high temperatures or corrosive environments are encountered. These sectors all benefit from our knowledge and experience of working with high nickel alloys, our fabrication and handling capacity and our QA standards.
Furnaces & Ovens and Ancillary Equipment
ALMOR’s engineers design bespoke plant to meet specific heat treatment process needs where our main focus is on controlled atmosphere processes.
Through our own make brands of Wild Barfield and Barlow Whitney we offer a broad range of proven standard furnace and oven designs.
ALMOR represents the global furnace engineer Aichelin in the UK and Ireland. This representation enables us to supply and support these markets with large heat treatments plants (e.g. pusher carburisers and much more), induction heating systems and NOXMAT combustion technology. Used plant can also be supplied where current availability can be found on our website.
Heat Treat Services for Vacuum and Atmosphere Furnaces
The ALMOR Group aims to support heat treaters' ongoing requirements with a range of responsive and reliable services for most makes and types of furnace.
Through our highly experienced in-house team we deliver breakdown services and preventative maintenance programmes for controlled atmosphere and vacuum furnaces.
These activities are complemented by a wide range of replacement parts (often from stock), calibration services, vacuum hot zone relines and much more.
ALMOR’s “all round capability” is frequently used to re-engineer furnace systems where heat treaters have a need to achieve greater productivity, enhance product quality and/or energy savings.
ALMOR ensures that such projects can be successfully accomplished through its know how, experience and facilities which cover a broad skill set (e.g. design, combustion, electromechanical, instrumentation, process control fabrication and refractory).
Process Control & Instrumentation
ALMOR’s heat treatment processes control products are aimed at improving product quality and/or reducing end user costs. The main application for our technology is in carburising, carbonitriding, nitriding and nitrocarburising.
ALMOR also manufactures skid mounted ignition panels for petrochem flare gas systems.
