Almor has commenced the installation and refurbishment of the first
sealed quench furnace for MMHT following the conclusion of a purchase
and supply agreement between MMHT and Borg Warner Gears of Port Talbot.
MMHT
are buying three sealed quench furnaces, each with a nominal one tonne
capacity, from Borg Warner and Almor is carrying out installation at
the Meltham site. As part of the agreement, MMHT will supply Borg
Warner’s carburisation heat treatment requirements associated with the
furnaces.
The total capacity of the new installation exceeds Borg
Warner’s requirements and it will be used to increase the service and
capabilities offered by MMHT to their customers.
