The Vacuum Service Division of Almor has further expanded its capability with the recruitment of an additional site service engineer.
Andy Lowndes has worked for over 30 years in the vacuum furnace service sector, latterly with VFE, and has extensive experience in all aspects of vacuum furnace service and repair.
Andy, together with Mark Manison (team leader), Jez Higham (Vacuum Sales) and Pete Nolan Process/ Electrical Engineer), enable Almor to offer a comprehensive spares and service capability including fault finding, leak detection, pump service, gauge calibration and temperature calibration/temperature uniformity surveys to AMS2750D standard.
The Vacuum Service Division, based at the Almor Tipton facility offers a complete service to the furnace user including hot zone repairs/relines and instrumentation/control panel upgrades. During the last six months, four major reline projects have been completed using the latest insulation materials and redesign of critical areas designed to improve life and performance.
The specialist vacuum service team is complemented by an experienced group of Almor mechanical and electrical engineers, to facilitate efficient and responsive service.
